Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) congratulates Ms Ho Yuen-kei, a member of the Boccia Team of Hong Kong, China, for clinching the silver medal in the Boccia Women’s BC3 Pairs event together with her teammate at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games today (14 December). It is her second medal at this year’s Games.
Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, extended his warmest congratulations to Ms Ho: “After clinching a medal in the individual event two days ago, Yuen-kei once again delivered an outstanding performance today at this premier national sporting event with exceptional skills and seamless teamwork. Beyond her excellent personal prowess, she fully exemplified the unwavering determination and team spirit of a top-tier athlete, which is profoundly encouraging for the entire HKBU community.”
Professor Wai stated: “HKBU has long been committed to supporting sports development in Hong Kong. The University will continue to provide comprehensive support for student-athletes, advance research and innovation in sports science, and actively contribute to the advancement of sports in Hong Kong.”
Ms Ho Yuen-kei is an Honorary University Fellow and alumna of the Bachelor of Social Sciences in China Studies programme at HKBU.
